PROFESSIONAL HISTORY & HIGHLIGHTS

  • Executive Enterprises Inc. (EEI)

After two years on Wall Street as an M&A analyst for IDD Information Services, a financial publishing company, I fell in to the world of professional conferences. Executive Enterprises was founded and run by the “grandfathers” of the conference industry. I learned from the best! Working for Lew Abrams was a gift. At EEI, I had the privilege and honor to also work for and the Neil Handwerker and Colette Saunders. Neil is the most exceptional content developer I have ever met and Colette the absolute most phenomenal marketing expert. I learned the craft from Neil and Colette and will be forever grateful to them!

At EEI, I programmed and covered about 40 events a year. Events included Environmental Regulation, Energy, Banking and Accounting.

  • Fulcrum Information Services, Inc.

Launched Fulcrum Information Services with two wonderful partners, Neil Handwerker and Colette Saunders, and an angel investor. Over seven years we turned a $200,000 investment into a full-blown event company with over 200 conferences, a trade show, custom events, 62 employees and a top line of $12 million!

Fulcrum events covered a spectrum of important business and industry related issue including; law firm management, law department management, litigation, sector specific M&A, public relations, advertising, accounting and finance.

  • NorthStar Conferences, A Division of the AICPA

Working for one of the world’s leading associations was an education. I learned two very important lessons. One, the importance of the intricacies of programming by committee and two, the priority first and foremost is to serve your membership.

At the AICPA I began developing and creating events for Boards of Directors.

  • ALM, Inc.

Working with the Henry Dicker, VP of LegalTech, we integrated conferences and tradeshows into a new division – ALM Events. ALM Events consisted of 26 conferences and two trade shows. 23 of the 26 conferences were new to ALM and were created and developed by my team.

Responsibilities include; development and oversight for all conference and tradeshow content, sponsorship sales and management, hiring, training, budgeting, liaise with Marketing, Publishing and the Editors

  • TopBoards – ISS Accredited Directors’ Training

Created and built a modular, ISS accredited Board of Directors’ Training program. Crafted 26 educations modules. Secured over 50 nationally renowned experts for the Speakers’ Bureau. Interfaced with the ISS to ensure credentialing.

  • Volunteerism

Stamford Family YMCA

As a family we all volunteer for the Stamford Y our two oldest Nicole and Declan have served as camp counselors, volunteering their time in the summer to work with inner-city children.

My husband, Ray, and I have hosted numerous events as friend raiser and fundraiser with the goal of underwriting the summer camp. Our efforts were rewarded by being able to offer summer camp, at no cost to 200 plus children and their families that would have no other summer alternative.

Recipient of The United Way of Western Connecticut Award for Outstanding Volunteer Group
